The organization is dedicated to its mission to promote innovation in the European economy and facilitate the transfer of new and advanced technologies and know-how; to support cross-border networking and capacity building of businesses, public agencies, and private organizations by using the advances in information and communication technologies.
Purposes of the organization:
- Conducting applied research and analyses that assist the development and implementation of public policies
- Introducing new policy concepts and innovative policy-making tools (e.g. foresight)
- Promoting public policy consensus by bringing together the key actors in government, industry, academia, and civil society
- Building capacity in various professional groups by providing specialized training and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and international good practice
- Enhancing the capacity of companies to innovate by providing technology brokering and consulting services
- including ICTs, in strengthening democratic governance, empowering civil society, and developing competitive businesses
About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Management Expert who will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of EU-funded and donor-supported projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, monitoring, reporting, and ensuring full compliance with donor regulations
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and update project budgets for funding proposals and ongoing projects;
- Monitor project expenditures, ensuring proper allocation and donor compliance;
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors and partners;
- Review financial documentation for eligibility and compliance with programme rules;
- Communicate effectively with project teams, accountants, and external partners;
- Support audits and financial verifications, ensuring transparency and traceability;
- Maintain comprehensive and well-organized project financial records.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
- Additional training or certification in EU/donor project management is an asset;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in financial management of projects;
- Proven experience with EU-funded programmes or other international donors;
- Strong experience in budgeting, reporting, and financial control;
- Experience in communication with donors, auditors, and partner organizations.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Excellent financial planning, monitoring, and cost control skills;
- Proficient in MS Excel and electronic reporting systems;
- Thorough understanding of donor financial rules and cost eligibility principles;
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities;
- High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines;
- Very good command of English (B2 level or above);
